Unsung wins OurPride Innovative Storytelling Award

The Unsung team is so pleased to announce that our short film, Unsung: Queer Portraits of Authenticity and the Cost of Its Absence, has received the Innovative Storytelling Award from OurPride, a partner and the official short film festival of WorldPride Washington DC 2025.

Unsung is a lyrical short film amplifying the voices of four LGBTQ+ individuals as they reclaim identity, rewrite inherited narratives, and step into the quiet power of living truthfully — a meditation on authenticity, well-being, and what it costs to be silenced.

Co-directors Kim Warner of Unfixed Media and Troy Ford of Qstack thank John Boswell and his Rainbow Advocacy organization, as well as the cast members – antmen pimentel mendoza, Dalia Kinsey, Aris Hearth and Gail Marlene Schwartz – and our film editor, Michael Wolcott, for all of the work that led to this prestigious honor.
